Residential building of Nikolai Tatosov
The residential building of the oilman Nikolai Tatosov, built in 1889 on Istiglaliyyat (former Nikolaevskaya) Street, 37. The author of the project is the German architect Nikolai August Von der Nonne (16.06.1835 – 13.08.1908). On the first floor of the building there was an office of the «Baku Oil Society», established on January 30, 1874 by order of the Russian Emperor Alexander II. One of the most beautiful buildings in Baku is an architectural monument and is protected by the state.
