The two-story building of the «Mutual Credit Society» on Petrovskaya Square in Baku, built in 1887. The author of the project of the building at the corner of the current street named after Samad Vurgun (former Krasnovodskaya) and Neftchilar Avenue (former Embankment named after Alexander II) is the german architect Nikolai August von der Nonne (16.06.1835 – 13.08.1908). At present, the square no longer exists - the current building of the Museum Center was built in its place. And the building of the «Mutual Credit Society» currently houses one of the structures of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, which has completed the third floor of the building.
